By L.T. Dinwiddie This is definitely a career high for me. Check SOHH.com frequently for the full interview. Special shout out to V103 and Sony BMG for hooking me up with this one.
By L.T. Dinwiddie Someone please tell this chick to sit the hell down. When asked about a re-release of her consumer panned sophomore album "Ms. Kelly" listen to what she had to say.
Kelly Rowland: I am actually. I'm going back into the studio to do some more songs. I was very apprehensive at first, but I swallowed my pride. The record industry is very different. Things are going more digital and I want to accommodate my fanbase.
By L.T. Dinwiddie OMG, finally! I know a lot of people have been feening for new music from Maxwell and he’s finally answered the fans requests. Check an exclusive first listen of his new song “Pretty Wings” from his highly anticipated new CD “Black Summers Night”. It’s been six years since we’ve heard from Maxwell. Word is his sexuality has been exposed and the record label attempted to keep him out of the public eye in hopes the rumors would go away. I don’t care who he sleeps with. The man makes amazing music that is perfect for the evening wind down after a long day.
IT LOOK'S LIKE IT'S TIME FOR ALL OF US TO BAND TOGETHER!!
LEND YOUR SUPPORT TO AN EXECUTIVE PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FOR THE LEGENDARY RON ISLEY AKA MR. BIGGS.
Join Def Jam today in helping to spread the word for the pardon of legendary American musician Ronald Isley. As a member of The Isley Brothers, Ronald Isley's career spans over 50 years, with countless accomplishments and a legacy of uniquely American music that has influenced everyone from the Beatles to Notorious B.I.G.
In an effort to protect Mr. Isley from incarceration for non-payment of taxes, we urge his fans to call, fax or email the White House immediately to help Ronald stay out of prison. The situation is especially urgent because Mr. Isley is currently scheduled to report to begin serving a 3 year sentence on August 7th of this year. In lieu of the recent charges brought against Mr. Isley, he is currently in the process of a total restitution of his financial obligations to the IRS. Mr. Isley has also offered to perform for troops at various military bases to help heal the country and show his support for their tireless efforts to protect this country. It is important to point out that Ronald Isley has no prior criminal record, and has been a law-abiding, taxpaying employer since 1956. There is also concern that due to a variety of health issues, (Mr. Isley suffered a stroke in 2004 and was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2006) without proper care Mr. Isley's health could decline further and there is genuine concern as to whether he could survive a lengthy incarceration.
Ronald Isley & The Isley Brothers are an important part of this country's musical history and a part of the Def Jam family so let's band together to keep one of our living legends out of jail.

By L.T. Dinwiddie Since it looks like R. Kelly won’t be going to jail, let alone court, anytime soon. It look’s like he’s moving on with other projects.
According to published reports the alleged child molester has decided to drop another set of “In The Closet” series. Kelly has reportedly signed on with U.S. cable network IFC to shoot 10 more episodes of his sage of infidelity.
I wonder if he will have young girl’s this go round?FULL STORY
Shout out to Sean Kingston! The young overweight lover is burning up the charts with his catchy carribean song "Beautiful Girls". I've loved this song since the day I heard it. And since I used to be a former fatty it's nice to see someone who isnt industry(as far as looks goes) getting some burn.
By L.T. Dinwiddie I’m not mad at former Destiny’s Child member turned solo artist Letoya Luckett as she still tries to capitalize off her newfound success.
According tothatgrapejuice.netshe is hard at work on her sophomore album. And word is she aint playing as super producer Rodney Jerkins, and successful songwriter and producer Babyface have signed on to work it out on the project.
I recently caught up with vocalist Lil Mo at her video shoot here in Atlana, GA a few days ago. I know most of y’all are thinking “who” but don’t trip, you know Mo has made a lot of songs hot with her boisterous sound.
She’s now gone independent and her new song “Sometimes” is the lead single from her up coming album. Check the video out, she’s doing her thing, and my, look at that rack.
By L.T. Dinwiddie Here is a new song from Ne-yo’s sophomore effort titled “Do You”.
With today’s generic uninspiring gimmick artists, producers, and songwriters, I tend to be highly critical of today’s hip-hop and R & B. But when it comes to Ne-Yo I am puddy in his lyrical and superb songwriting hand.
And he has done it again with his second single off his highly anticipated CD. The song is a duet with Mary J. Blige who is proving to all of us hat she is just like fine wine—getting better with age.
Check out the track jacked from blogging buddy Sandra Rose.
By L.T. Dinwiddie Well well well, look who’s moving on—Mr. Eric Benet. It’s being reported that the adulterer himself is now dating Manuela Nelson. No word yet on who she is or what he does.
Looks like Eric is going dred again. I’m thinking about it too.
**Update** This chick used to be married to Prince.
CHRIS BROWN SHOWS US ALL HOW TO REALLY GET DOWN!!!
By L.T. Dinwiddie Chris Brown invaded Atlanta’s Center Stage venue this past Friday and I got the opportunity to attend. Though I had a good time watching his performance the people over at Jive Records werent too thrilled with Syrabi (my camera).
They tried everything to get me to stop filming Chris Brown’s set but I still managed to grind it out and get the young black Fred Astaire on video wowing the crowd.
Boy, if I were Usher I’d be nervous as hell right about now because Chris Brown is most certainly on his coat tails to take over as the new Pop and R&B sensation. Or has Chris already done that?
By L.T Dinwiddie Mediatakeout.com just posted a potentially damaging allegation regarding two major Pop Artists, R.Kelly, and Usher. In their lead story they’re claiming that the two legendary acts have stolen the song “Same Girl” that allegedly belongs to an Atlanta R&B quartet collectively known as—Nephu. But after making a few phone calls to some industry insiders I’ve found out that’s not necessarily accurate.
My very reliable source who I just got off the phone with, and who also works very closely with the foursome, explained to me that Nephu, in fact, didn’t write the song "Same Girl", they just recorded it.
Apparently they were signed to Capitol Records and were preparing to release their version of this song. However, they fell out with their record label. And since none of the members wrote the song, the recording company retained it and everybody went their own separate ways.
Though Nephu is currently considering a few offers from other labels, my source wanted to make clear that they didn’t write, nor do they own any parts to the song. The group just feels slighted because they put so much work into recording it and were anticipating a nationwide release.
While I can understand their anger, that’s why it’s called the music business. It’s still a business and if Usher and R.Kelly can sell it, then the song writer, and the record label is going to keep it moving. And also think about this, if they actually wrote the song and owned the publishing - wouldnt it make sense to file a lawsuit rather then file a story with the mega-gossip site? And I mean that in the best way Fred
I love mediatakeout.com like a son of a bitch, but I couldn’t let them try and throw Usher and Chester under the bus like that. They do that enough on their own!
OMARION AND BOW WOW TEAM UP TO BRING US A "BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" CD!!!
By L.T. Dinwiddie The ink hasn’t even dried on the contract and I can now confirm that R&B star Omarion, and Hip-Hop lightweight Bow Wow will be combining their talents to bring us a new CD.
That’s right y’all they’ve put their rumored differences aside and will be teaming up to create a “Best of Both Worlds” type compilation which will be out later this year.
Fellow blogger and personal friend SoHH Soulman emailed me this exclusive information. And, in an exclusive video obtained by me today, Bow Wow’s personal DJ, and World Famous Supefriends crew member, DJ Shakim, confirmed the project, but more on that video later on the week on SoHH.com.
So there you have it…we bloggers are far ahead of mainstream press. Nobody grinds it out like a blogger.
By L.T. Dinwiddie It looks likes its curtains for Mama Patton!
According to published reportsUsher has given his mother slash manager the perfect mother’s days gift – a nice pink slip.
After years of standing behind him and making him the superstar that he is today, it seems that all the drama behind the scenes over his new “girlfriend/ fiancé” has been all but too much for the Pop star.
"They definitely don't get along," says one source of Mama Usher and Foster, who is ten years older than the R&B superstar -- and who left her husband for him. The buzz now is that Usher may replace mom with fiancée, which is concerning execs at Jive Records, Usher's label, who praise the job that Jonetta has done. Usher's rep denies the rumor.
Uh huh, that damn Tameka is coming in and trying to destroy everything…LOL nah, I’m kidding I don’t know what’s going on with these two. But I do know that Usher is know for using the media to generate buzz for his projects so this could be nothing more then just his way of getting attention.
By L.T. Dinwiddie Usher gets on my damn nerves! In a recent interview on MTV.comhe’s blasting younger artists for copying his style and not paying him proper respect. In the interview this is what he had to say:
"I feel like these kids have gotten a little too disrespectful, and I'm about to get [back in there], so just be ready," he said with a smile.
"Well, for instance," he explained, "you got your artists who find their way through the circuit and are following and are not giving the respect where the respect is due. If you know [you're] following and biting, then, hey, give the respect. But if you're not, and you're creating your own thing, then you're good. You should just continue to find your own way.
"Listen, this is not a game out here, man," he continued. "You can't come around here and think that you're really starting the game. Understand, when I came up in the game and I found a trail, I was cool. Bobby Brown went this way, Michael Jackson went this way, Marvin Gaye, he created his little profile and he held to it. I didn't step on those toes. What I did was find a way and my thing and created my thing. Now you have my thing being built. So I look up, and I'm like, 'OK, I see you all. I see you all in the videos. I see you moving, I get it, but pay the respect, man.' "
First off lets be honest, Usher’s singing career was not based on his singing. From day one he’s learned how to monopolize and manipulate the media as well as his fans with his boyish good looks. And when that stopped working he mastered the art of the "publicity stunt". If you’ve ever seen a live performance, which unfortunately I have – it’s like watching a cheap Michael Jackson impersonator.
There wasn’t and still isn’t anything original about Usher’s career except of course his skillful ablity to have most woman in America fooled – most of you know what I’m talking about.
Usher needs to pay homage to the artists of the past and stop getting on the Omarion’s and the Chris Brown’s of the world for doing exactly what he did – recycle old music styles and tailor them to today’s music. Usher please sit your ass down somewhere before your last handful of fans turn their back on you for good.
I know one thing, if U thinks he can come back and sell like he used to he’s going to be sadly mistaken. I wonder what publicity stunt he’s going to come up with this time? Oh and one more thing--How You Doin Usher!
