If you ever wanted to see Bow Wow like you’ve never seen him now is your chance. I have some exclusive news from a reliable source that Bow Wow is rumored to be playing gay for his new film. According to Film Bug Bow, and Jon Singleton are in preproduction on a new movie Boys. Supposedly Bow will play a drug dealer who also happens to be confused sexually. This is supposed to be Bow bold new role to show his depth as an actor. Its also rumored that Bow Wow will have love scenes in the movie…Developing

I actually heard this go down on the radio yesterday, but I was swarmed with my own deadlines that I couldn’t stop and post it. Method Man in an attempt to get some press for his upcoming album stormed into WBLS studios on 3 Park Ave, in NYC, trying to get at Shock Jock Wendy Williams. I reported this story last week about Method being at odds over Wendy putting his wife’s recent bout with cancer on the radio. It was a secret, or was trying to be a secret, but Wendy doing what she does put the news out there. When Method was interviewed recently (interview clip above along the sidebar), he put her on Blast calling her everything from a ‘Bitch’ to also saying anyone who listens to her is a “fucking idiot”.
Here’s the thing that bothers me about this whole situation. Though I understand he may be upset about Wendy putting his wife’s business out there. I listen to Wendy Williams pretty often, and I remember when she talked about it, and it was 5-6 months ago. If he was all that bothered by it then why not confront her when she said it? Don’t use your wife’s illness to garner press for your album. That’s now gangsta, that’s not keeping it real. This whole thing is making Meth look whack. And Meth I love you, don’t take what I’m saying as diss. But just think about bruh. It wasn’t a good look

The engagement is definitely off. Actually he dumped her. It seems Wayne caught Trina in a compromising position with someone else. My source says Wayne was a "complete gentleman" about the whole thing. Apparently, he's nothing like his rap persona.

GET OFF OPRAH'S BACK/OUTKAST GET IT TOGETHER!!!

As we all know, I love me some Oprah. She is my ultimate mentor, and I try to be a little bit like her in terms of my humanity and kindness everyday, though I fail miserably sometimes (people get on my damn nerves).
There have been rumors about Oprah, and her best friend Gayle King for years about an alleged relationship between the two. I have NEVER addressed these rumors, because for one thing I don’t believe them to be true, and the other I don’t believe in gossiping, and if I do it’s especially never going to be about Mrs. Sophia. But in August’s “O” magazine, Oprah will be addressing all the gay rumors and putting them to rest (hopefully).

"I understand why people think we're gay," Oprah says. "There isn't a definition in our culture for this kind of bond between women. So I get why people have to label it - how can you be this close without it being sexual?" Winfrey and Gayle talk openly and candidly about there more then 30 year friendship.
"Something about this relationship feels otherworldly to me, like it was designed by a power and a hand greater than my own. Whatever this friendship is, it's been a very fun ride," Oprah says of the connection.

I think people need to just get over it. As open and honest as Oprah is she has made more then enough money for herself to “come out of the closet” if she truly were gay and not have to be concerned about what people may think or how it might affect her financially. I have a best friend who means more to me then anything, and he and I talk on the phone at least 8 times a day. We are in no way involved sexually; he is just that close to me. A keeper to all my deep dark secrets and I can truly be myself around him. I can look at Oprah, and Gayle’s friendship as just that a friendship. Perhaps what the problem is people need to try to find their own closeness and bond to another person, and get off Oprah’s back. Maybe it’s just hateration, plain and simple.

Outkast says "No" to Oprah....

There seems to be a serious rift within the camp of Outkast over the promotion and marketing of their new album “Idlewild”. I have been getting lots of reports that Andre ‘3000’ Benjamin isn’t willing to do any concerts, or major media interviews to push the CD. It’s rumored that Benjamin and Andre”Dre” Patton are at odds about everything involved with the promotion of the album.
At a time where hip-hop is going down the toilet, we need groups like Outkast to keep pushing artistic boundaries within the culture, and give us musical alternatives to a lot of garbage that’s being put on radio. It’s been proven time and time again that if you don’t promote, and perform for your project it’s going to fail. Though Outkast has proven themselves musical pioneers with groundbreaking albums like Southernplayalisticadillacmuzic, and Aquemini, that alone won’t guarantee that people will still be interested unless you promote.

It has been reported that Oprah Winfrey has invited hip hops’ super group to come on her show in early September, but Andre has declined the offer effectively nixing the deal. “Andre is only interested in acting now” says my source. He has several acting projects, and was also apart of Guy Ritchie’s “Revolver” which unfortunately was critically panned and is already on DVD.
A source close to Bejamin says that when their deal is over with Arista, “he’s outta there”. “He is only doing things to help the movie” says another source. Going on Oprah would be huge for the hip hop group, and more so for the hip hop community. We have all heard about Oprah’s rumored beef with Ludacris, and other artists who she alleges disrespects women with misogynistic overtones, and explicit music videos. Though I personally agree with her that hip hop, though influential in breaking down race barriers, can at times do more harm then good with how women are viewed in our society.

Oprah received a lot of negative response from the hip hop community about her comments, and could be using positive, artistic hip hop artists like Outkast to prove that she does in fact like, and support certain hip hop artists, but no matter what her intent was for inviting Outkast, to her popular nationally syndicated television talk show, when Oprah invites you, you go!

How successful will this project will be? Only time will tell, but it’s not looking good with their current single, there latest song, Cab Calloway’s inspired “The Mighty O” hasn’t even cracked the top 50 on Billboards Hot 100 Airplay chart. That is not the norm for the King, and King of hip hop, it looks like someone needs to pull Andre aside and knock some sense into him. Get it together fellas, hip hop needs you!!!

“Gone are the days of mainstream rappers that were promoting social issues, and sharing the stories of the streets, while dropping dope beats, that made you bounce to your feet, and expand your mind for a moment in time, as the their story was shared for you not become impaired by the allure of the “game”, and try your best to remain, on the right side of the situation. Just as I spewed these words from my mind, and put it on paper it is my hope that the reflection still comes through how much we need you, Outkast.”
