The Diddy publicity train isn’t slowing down anytime soon. He is on the new cover of Vibe magazine. I haven’t had a chance to read the article, but far be it from me to deny the Diddy fans of America a first look at the cover. Enjoy!!
My Boy Freezefiyah from HHNlive sent me over this editorial that was written recently by a White American that really hits hard. I am cautioning you now that this article might hit make you angry. It's a heavy piece but in a lot of ways it’s the truth. As a people we still just don’t get it, but the sad part about it is that White people see we don’t get it, so what are we going to do about it??

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE, GREED, and SELFISHNESS.
Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment. A great man once said, "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book." We now live in the Information Age. They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they refuse to read. There are numerous books readily available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com, Not to mention their own Black Bookstores that provide solid blueprints to reach economic equality (which should have been their fight all along), but few read consistently, if at all.
GREED is another powerful weapon of containment. Blacks, since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal. Last year they spent 10 billion dollars during Christmas, Out of their 450 billion dollars in total yearly income (2.22%).
Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up, no matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a consumer people, they function totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing.
They would rather buy some new sneaker than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest Tommy or FUBU, And they still think that having a Mercedes, and a big house gives them "Status" or that they have achieved their Dream. They are fools! The vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities.
With the help of BET, and the rest of their black media that often broadcasts destructive images into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits like those of Tommy and Nike. (Tommy Hilfiger has even jeered them, saying he doesn't want their money, and look at how the fools spend more with him than ever before!). They'll continue to show off to each other while we build solid communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.
SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the major ways we can continue to contain them. One of their own, Dubois said that there was an innate division in their culture. A "Talented Tenth" he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segments of their culture that has achieved some "form" of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of his work. They didn't read that the "Talented Tenth" was then responsible to aid The Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life. Instead, that segment has created another class, a Buppie class that looks down on their people Or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community.
They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not to the best doers. Is there no end to their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)
They do not understand that they are no better than each other because of what they own, as a matter of fact, most of those Buppies Are but one or two pay checks away from poverty. All of which is under the control of our pens in our offices and our rooms. Yes, we will continue to contain them as long as they refuse to read, continue to buy anything they want, and keep thinking they are "helping" their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. By the way, don't worry about any of them reading this letter, remember, 'THEY DON'T READ!!!!

I can’t decide if this is a good thing or what, but Beyoncé is releasing a third single in a three month time frame. First it was “Déjà Vu” then there was “Ring the Alarm” and now it’s “Irreplaceable”.Can you say overexposed??
Though I like the video, Beyonce isnt allowing us to miss her or even yearn for another video. "Ring The Alarm" cant be 6 weeks old and she's already off to the next single. Beyonce seems to be every damn place, all the damn time. She looks great and I'm loving the horse hair (sorry I couldnt resist), but I'm even over that. Even the gay’s are over her and they love them some “B”!! Just imagine, in a month and a half we’re all going to be in Beyoncé mania all over again with that damn “DreamGirls” movie and soundtrack. Needless to say, she was shut-down, early on, by a black woman. Now, we are receiving word, she is back at it, discreetly. She is determined to marry her friends off to rich sports figures or have them become mistresses at the right price. My prayers go out to Cassidy. It was reported yesterday that rapper Cassidy was in terrible car accident that has him in critical condition. According to AHH.com the details are sketchy, but the rapper was reportedly leaving New Jersey for a recording studio, when a truck swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into Cassidy's side of the SUV he was riding in. "He was the only one that suffered critical injuries," a representative for Cassidy's label Sony/BMG told AllHipHop.com. What you might not know is that this was Janet’s last album under Virgin which technically makes her a free agent. If this CD doesn’t do well it will be very hard for Janet to secure a valuable recording contract elsewhere. If you remember Mariah Carey’s situation, she got signed to Virgin for 80 million (or was it a 100 million), but when her “Glitter” album tanked she was dropped by Virgin and signed with Island Def Jam for a meager 20 million. It's also being reported that Virgin is very unhappy with Janet’s sales figures and JD himself might be in jeopardy of losing his job. Lets all see how this unfolds.

I am not a hater I just ask a lot of questions and challenge anything that seems suspicious. By now I am sure that you all know that Janet Jackson and Ludacris have been battling it out for the number one album in America and it seems that Ludcaris won barely edging ahead of Janet selling 314K to her 301K according to hitsdailydouble.com
Not taking anything away from Def Jam or Luda's success, but they can’t really be proud of this victory seeing they decided to drop the retail sale price of Luda’s new album to $5.00. Janet kept her CD retail price the same as any other artist who releases an album the first week. It’s deplorable what some will do just to have a number one album. "OK thats a little dramatic" I’m not a business major but I understand money, so it would seem to me that Ludacris would had to have lost money just to claim the number one album. After twenty years of music making, Janet still has a victory and Janet fans look out for her tour early next year.
In the end, Ludacris’ Release proved to be just the right Therapy for retailers. UK - # 63 (3K SOLD ) Ironically this is just one place higher than Justin Timberlake's re-entry at #64 with his 2002 album Justified!!!!

Hot 97 host Angie Martinez spoke to Akon recently about relationships. Akon, who recently released a single with Eminem, explained that as an African (Ak' is from a very prominent music family in Senegal) he believes in polygamy. His father had four wives, all of whom he considers "Mom". It also turns out that Akon has taken up a Senegalese lifestyle here, because after a little hesitation, the singer-producer admitted that he has his own multi-monogamous household going down in the ATL!I am not hater but how in the hell can Akon get one wife let alone multiple ones? I have been paying close attention to Outkast’s movie and soundtrack since their debuts in August. I was one of the first ones to report the flop of both projects, but many tried to put a positive spin on the lackluster movie by saying that the main reason(s) that it didn’t do well was because it wasn’t available in many theaters. I ran into Bobby Valentino at a private gym in Vinnings, an affluent suburb of Atlanta, GA. When I approached him in an attempt to congratulate him and network he was real dismissive, yet when the females ran over to him he showed them all the love in the world. I bumped into him again at an event and he was shadier then the first time I met him. Though I realize that his core demographic are women, he still could have engaged me in a little conversation. Def Jam damn sure hit Virgin below the belt as both record labels competed with one another for the number slot on Billboard this week. Ludacris had the balls to come out with an album on the same day as ultra popular Janet and what did he do to secure a number one album? He's selling his CD in retails stores for $5.00. As we all know a new CD usually costs between $9.99 and $14.99 at most major retailers. Occasionally you will see a CD sell for $7.99, but never $5.00. Will a number album really count as a success when you had sale it for half the price?

A family judge ordered Bobby Brown arrested if he steps foot in Massachusetts after he failed to show up at a hearing Monday over delinquent child support payments. Brown's attorney said it's a "very difficult time" for Brown, 37, whose tumultuous marriage to singer Whitney Houston is coming to an end after she filed for a legal separation earlier this month."Whether or not he's going through a divorce doesn't negate the fact that he still owes child support relative to his two children that he had prior to his marriage," said Norfolk Probate and Family Court Judge Paula Carey. Kim Ward, of Stoughton, the mother of two of Brown's children, says Brown owes two months' support, or $11,000. Brown has a history of legal troubles with those support payments. In June 2004, Brown was sentenced to 90 days in prison for missing three months of payments. That sentence was immediately suspended after Brown made back payments totaling about $15,000. Brown's attorney, Phaedra Parks, would not say where Brown, a Boston native, is currently living."It's just a very difficult time for him, as you can well imagine," said Parks, an Atlanta-based entertainment lawyer. It’s funny how the media has turned on Beyoncé Knowles Inc. In this media clip a CBS news affiliated station is shown interviewing Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles. But when the questioning turned to negativity regarding the improper sizing of their “House of Dereon” clothing line, things quickly turned ugly as Tina immediately ended the interview. It’s very bizarre at how we have all seemed to turn on Beyonce over the past few months. I am personally over her. She has maximized her exposure so much to where I just get sick of looking at her.
