CHRIS BROWN SHOWS US ALL HOW TO REALLY GET DOWN!!!

Chris Brown invaded Atlanta’s Center Stage venue this past Friday and I got the opportunity to attend. Though I had a good time watching his performance the people over at Jive Records werent too thrilled with Syrabi (my camera).

They tried everything to get me to stop filming Chris Brown’s set but I still managed to grind it out and get the young black Fred Astaire on video wowing the crowd.

Boy, if I were Usher I’d be nervous as hell right about now because Chris Brown is most certainly on his coat tails to take over as the new Pop and R&B sensation. Or has Chris already done that?

O1LT.COM "GAY REPORT"!!

With Pastor Mason Betha caught (allegedly) trying to pick up Tranny’s in Midtown, Atlanta. And Bobby Brown threatening to whoop a gay anchor’s a*s for hitting on him, I’ve decided to do an O1LT.com Gay Report. You know, kind of a take off of V103’s Ryan Report, who coincidentally broke the Mase story.

My first story is on Pastor Mason Betha. Word on the street, thanks to SandraRose.com, is that Mase, though she doesn’t actually mention his name so I’ll say allegedly, was caught trying to cruise the transvestites here in Midtown on Spring Street.

If you know anything about Atlanta, particularly in Midtown, then you know that Spring Street, West Peachtree St, and Peachtree Street (from North Ave to 7th Street) are legendary gay and transvestites cruise spots.

Apparently Mase, (again) lets just say allegedly so he doesn’t try and sue my little blog for defamation, was involved in a hit and run accident Thursday night (May 10th). The former Bad Boy—turned spokesman for Jesus, allegedly collided his vehicle with another.

But get this, after striking the victims newly purchased Range Rover, it seems that rap superstar wasn’t ready to pull over and perform his vehicular accidental responsibilities. And that’s where the shims come in…(listen to the audio)

Now on to Mr. R &B has been himself—Mr. Bobby Brown. Don’t make any homosexual references to Bobby without expecting an a*s whooping or that’s what this television achor realized all too well recently.

COCODORM.COM A GAY WHOREHOUSE???

This doesn’t fall under any normal topic that I discuss, but from the looks of this situation there isn’t anything normal about it.

Cocodorm.com (no hyperlink supplied, you’ll have to google it) has come under fire for operating a sexhouse in a suburban neighborhood of Miami that has community members outraged. The website, which content is so explicit that I couldn’t even post a picture, is a sex shelter where young African American gay men participate in often times unsafe sexual situations with other men.

I've had heard about this from various alternative blogs previously, but paid it no mind until I just saw NBC’s Channel 6 news do a revealing expose on the sex scandal. On the Flava Works owned and operated website they charge up to 74.95 for members to view numerous sexual- reality type episodes. As shocking as it all is, it’s also very sad how people pray on young men and women to ultimately make a profit.

But I tell you one thing, for those who have this explotating site as one of their advertisers on your blogs. Remember, your supporting and profiting off of the lives of these "wet behind the ears" young adults!

ATLANTA HOST'S THE TOP 30 PROFESSIONALS UNDER 30 YEARS OLD!!!!

Last night I had the opportunity to rub elbows with Atlanta’s Top 30 professionals who all happen to be under the age of 30. They came together to celebrate their miraculous achievements in all areas of business. This prestigious event took place at The Twelve Hotel in popular Atlantic Station.

V103’s, Elle, Purple Ribbon Recording Artists, Janelle Monae, Fashion Designer Mychael Knight, and public relations guru –Nicole Garner, among others, were in attendance.

Unfortunately I had another event commitment to attend, so I had to run out of there right after the red carpet. ended But look who gave O1LT.com some love before I left….

This song, which was written by Diane Warren, was one of their best songs and I remember playing this record so much when I was a kid that my parents threatened to destroy it if I didn’t pump the brakes. Check it out!

AKON FINALLY SPEAKS!!!

Uhh….can you say too little too late? Akon has finally released a statement regarding the much publicized “simulated rape scene” that has hit him where it hurts the most—his wallet. As previously reported on O1LT.com, Verizon Wireless has dropped the CEO of Konvict Records, from any further promotions.

In a statement obtained by TMZ.com this is what Akon had to say:

"First, and most important to me, I want to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain I've caused to the young woman who joined me on-stage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my concert in Port of Spain on April 12th.

It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18. That is why we tried to make sure that the club did not admit anyone under 18 in the audience. Somehow, that standard was not met.

Again, I apologize to those concerned and to all my fans and I pledge to all that we will strive to make sure this type of incident does not happen again."

If only he had released this the moment the tape surfaced instead staying mum about it. That’s what you call damage control. I swear some of these artists need to hire me to work them. I know how the media works.

MEDIATAKEOUT HAS BEEN DUPED!!!!

Mediatakeout.com just posted a potentially damaging allegation regarding two major Pop Artists, R.Kelly, and Usher. In their lead story they’re claiming that the two legendary acts have stolen the song “Same Girl” that allegedly belongs to an Atlanta R&B quartet collectively known as—Nephu. But after making a few phone calls to some industry insiders I’ve found out that’s not necessarily accurate.

My very reliable source who I just got off the phone with, and who also works very closely with the foursome, explained to me that Nephu, in fact, didn’t write the song "Same Girl", they just recorded it.

Apparently they were signed to Capitol Records and were preparing to release their version of this song. However, they fell out with their record label. And since none of the members wrote the song, the recording company retained it and everybody went their own separate ways.

Though Nephu is currently considering a few offers from other labels, my source wanted to make clear that they didn’t write, nor do they own any parts to the song. The group just feels slighted because they put so much work into recording it and were anticipating a nationwide release.

While I can understand their anger, that’s why it’s called the music business. It’s still a business and if Usher and R.Kelly can sell it, then the song writer, and the record label is going to keep it moving. And also think about this, if they actually wrote the song and owned the publishing - wouldnt it make sense to file a lawsuit rather then file a story with the mega-gossip site? And I mean that in the best way Fred

EXACTLY WHO WAS THE GAY RAPPER??

Do you guys remember that story I covered almost a year and a half ago regarding Caushun The Gay Rapper?

Well Ahh.com is shedding more light on that story and you’ll be shocked to know that the only skill the gay rapper had was..well I cant say it but involves another man. In an exclusive interview obtained by AHH contributor Tanisha Alston apparently the entire thing was a fabrication—a complete hoax.

The man behind the effeminate lyricist wasn’t only straight, but was also a prominent European artist. This is what he told AHH.com regarding the salacious incident:

AllHipHop.com: How did the whole Caushun thing come about?

Ivan Matias: It started out as a prank that we pulled on Funkmaster Flex. A couple of us were hanging out at my crib. The Bash Brothers were there, a Black magazine editor, a major record company publicist and a music publicist. We were all sitting around listening to the radio and decided we wanted to prank Flex while he was on the air. We said let’s call up in a flamboyant way and get on his records he was putting out at the time. [The Funkmaster Flex 60 Minutes of Funk series] Let’s make up this character and call him up. It was a funny thing. He wasn’t really trying to hear it. Even though he didn’t let me spit the rhyme, the next day and night they were all talking about it on the radio. The next day, we decided to call Angie [Martinez] and try it again. She let us spit. She thought it was hot. That became an internal joke. For two weeks we would take songs that were classic Hip-Hop joints and act as if the artist really existed. People were really buzzing about it. One of the people suggested that we get someone to pretend to be the face of Caushun and send them to the station. So, I called Jason.

AllHipHop.com: So Jason Herndon became known as the face behind the voice of Caushun?

Ivan Matias: Exactly. I grew up with him. His voice was like the voice I was putting on the radio and he was out there. I reached out to him. He was an assistant hair stylist at Oscar Blondie. He wanted to get up in the mix. He wanted to do it so he could get his name out there for hair and use it for his career. I recorded a joint and gave it to him. OMARION AND BOW WOW TEAM UP TO BRING US A "BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" CD!!!

The ink hasn’t even dried on the contract and I can now confirm that R&B star Omarion, and Hip-Hop lightweight Bow Wow will be combining their talents to bring us a new CD.

That’s right y’all they’ve put their rumored differences aside and will be teaming up to create a “Best of Both Worlds” type compilation which will be out later this year.

Fellow blogger and personal friend SoHH Soulman emailed me this exclusive information. And, in an exclusive video obtained by me today, Bow Wow’s personal DJ, and World Famous Supefriends crew member, DJ Shakim, confirmed the project, but more on that video later on the week on SoHH.com.

So there you have it…we bloggers are far ahead of mainstream press. Nobody grinds it out like a blogger.

NBC PLAYS THE RACE CARD???

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the people behind NBC’s reality show, America's Got Talent, fired panelist Brandy Norwood over her current vehicular manslaughter issues. Yet they have allowed David Hasselhoff to remain a judge after his shocking video was leaked of him being video taped by his 16-year-old daughter in a disturbing drunken state?

According to various media outlets, not only will David continue his stint on the program, but executive producer, Simon Cowell, is said to be standing behind David "100%" as he seeks treatment for his “disease”.

I hate to be the one to throw the race card (though its apparent NBC did), but how does America viewing Hasselhoff lying on the floor hammered beyond belief fit into the show’s conservative fun atmosphere? This is very reminiscent of the Ludacris/Osborune/Pepsi controversy from a few years ago.

It’s examples like these that blatantly show the consistent racial imbalance of our society.

SPIDERMAN SETS THE BAR FOR SUMMER MOVIES SO FAR THIS YEAR!!!!

Well it looks like everyone in America went to see Spiderman 3 this weekend - because the third installment to the very popular Marvel comic franchise pulled in a staggering 148 million dollars in ticket sales domestically. That’s very impressive seeing that the motion picture amassed such a huge amount in only three days (Friday-Sunday).

This easily makes Spiderman the highest grossing movie of the year while also setting the standard for the summer movie season. I personally haven’t had the chance to see it yet, but I do plan on checking it out sometime during the week in hopes of not running into the movie crowd at Atlantic Station here in Atlanta, GA.

There’s rumors’ going around that Sony Pictures have already started working on the fourth installment. However Tobey Maguire is reportedly on the fence on reprising his role as the webbed savior. I guess we will have to wait and see won’t we?

VERIZON TO AKON:IT DOES MATTER!!!

Just weeks after the scandalous Akon tape was released all over the net, including this great entertainment site. It looks like Verizon Wireless has decided to part ways with the African entertainer.

According to the “Fair and Balanced” news outlet, Fox News, this is what they posted on their website:

Verizon has ended its partnership with hip-hop star Akon after he simulated the rape of a 15-year-old girl on stage at a show in Trinidad, FOX News has confirmed.
The girl thought she had won a dance contest, but instead got a simulated rape, which was caught on video.

"This week the partnership ended," Verizon said in a statement sent to FOX News. "We have music services on our cellphone service and we were promoting him as one of the artists. The other part of the sponsorship was the Gwen Stefani tour, of which he was an opening act. We are no longer sponsoring the tour."

First off I don’t like how they called his on stage performance a “simulated rape scene”, but that’s Fox News for you. I have always said from day one that I didn’t hold Akon fully responsible for his part in the sexscapade. However I did catch a sour taste in my mouth after Universal Recods started distributing cease and desist emails to most who were airing the video.

I think that if this incident had happened “Pre-Imus” then it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But at this point no one in media is safe. Entertainers are going to have to realize that going forward they’re going to have to keep it clean. Or at least make sure everyone is of legal age for such indecency.

DOES HIP-HOP HATE CAM THAT BAD??

Well God dayum is NYC trying to shut the whole world down? I already told y’all about New York rapper, Tru Life, appearing on Wendy’s WBLS radio program between 2-6pm this coming Monday. But now my girl Miss Info from HOT 97 is saying that Jim Jones will also be on The Funkmaster Flex Show on Monday dishing everything Cam’ron.

Rumors have been swirling and the streets have been talking about the future of Killa Cam and the Dipset crew. Miss Info spoke exclusively with Jim Jones regarding the situation and this is what he had to say:

“Me and Cam’ron haven’t spoken to each other in a year…. I kept quiet out of loyalty, I felt like if we cant be friends then at least we can do business together….But now I can’t be next to you….I’m through wit being in hot water because of you….We still the Diplomats. We worked too hard to achieve our own success and now we’re gonna do something new….”

I don’t know much about this entire hip-hop beef, but I for damn sure know two things. Firs off I’ll know where I, much like most of you, will be come Monday – sitting in front of my computer taking in ever salacious detail. And secondly, as interesting as all this is let’s not let this get of hand people. At the end of the day it isn’t that serious. Wait, I think I’m the adding fuel to fire aint I? Damn, oh well it is what it is.

I got to add this las thing too. All this couldnt be happening at a worse time with Hip-Hop being on the defense like its been these past few weeks. I wonder if everyone in Hip-Hop could hold their beef's for a year..you know let everything smooth out!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. wanted to give Oscar De La Hoya a beating. He had to settle for just getting a win. Mayweather won one of boxing's richest fights ever Saturday night by using his superb defensive skills and superior speed to take a 12-round split decision and win the WBC 154-pound title in his first fight at that weight.

The fight was billed as one that would save boxing, and while it didn't do that, it was an entertaining battle between two proud champions who fought hard from the opening bell through the end of the final round.

The fight ended with the sellout crowd on its feet roaring and two fighters trading punches wildly at the final bell. They then stopped and embraced each other.

Mayweather was favored on one scorecard 116-112 and 115-113 on a second. De La Hoya was ahead 115-113 on the third scorecard. ESPN.com's Dan Rafael had Mayweather winning 116-112, as did The Associated Press.

They might as well be speaking greek as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully some of you guys can understand all the boxing termanology.
