I have had this news for a couple of days but was indecisive about saying anything in fear of getting struck down by lighting. But I had to remind myself of what O1LT.com is here for. It’s to bring you what’s “hot, and black” in the urban community, and no one gets exempt from that. Not even God’s so called messengers.
And she got up like nothing happend. That's how you do it! Had it have been me. I would have ran off the stage..

It's early May 1999 when a woman, Brenda Martin (Julianne Moore), stumbles into a hospital emergency room with badly lacerated palms. She claims to have been the victim of a carjacking near the local housing projects. Detective Lorenzo Council (Samuel L. Jackson) is called in and, while interviewing Brenda, he discovers that her four-year old son was in the car at the time it was stolen. The police force is mobilized and the search centers around the projects where the criminal/kidnapper presumably lives (he is described as being a young black male). The high rise complex is barricaded, and tensions between the mostly white police force and the mostly black residents escalate. Council is concerned that a powder keg exists and the blue touch paper is close to being lit. So he pushes full force into the investigation, hoping to make an arrest before the situation explodes. His work is hampered by Brenda's hotheaded brother, Danny (Ron Eldard), a member of a nearby police force. He's out for blood, and doesn't much care about whose rights get trampled in the process. The deeper Council looks, the more convinced he becomes that Brenda is lying.O1lt.com review:
I went to see this movie today. Sam Jackson was amazing in this gut wrenching film that deals with lies, racial tension, and child neglect. I was on the edge of my seat while watching this movie. Freedomland is a fantastic hard-edged drama that draws you in and speaks to your soul as you watch how project living African Americans are treated once a young Caucasian boy disappears. Julianne Moore will surely get an Oscar nomination for her incredible performance. I encourage everyone to go and see this incredible movie. It will keep you guessing until the end.

My girl Fantasia is back in the studio this week working on that sophomore album. If you didn’t get her first album “Free Yourself” you missed out on a piece of musical empowerment. With songs like “Truth is”,” Free Yourself”, and the baby mama anthem of the year “Baby Mama”, I am definitely looking out for her to drop some new music soon. Let’s hope she won’t fall victim to the sophomore album flop curse. She is said to be working with Mr. Arrogant himself Kanye West. Story Here
Tyler Perry is pissed off at Dave Chapelle for going on Oprah and expressing his frustrations that the entertainment industry has a long tradition of demeaning black men by making them dress as women. I would imagine that Tyler thinks that he was talking about him. Though I watched the show, and he wasnt!
"Shout out to Block Entertainement!!" Russell "Block" Spencer, CEO of Block Enterprises, recently inked a multimillion dollar label deal with Sean "Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainmen and Warner Music Group (WMG).and the "What the #$%^ is he thinking??" Steve Urkel

Star Jones may be fading from The View — sources say executives for the daytime hit are secretly interviewing celebrities to replace the diva!According to insiders, Star, 43, has worn out her welcome with her over-the- top antics after nine years on the show. Now execs are said to be going behind her back to try to replace her as soon as possible."The producers are looking for someone to take over from Star who will blend in with the other co-hosts," a show insider revealed. "They want someone who will jump into the conversation with their own viewpoint but not be so combative and stubborn as Star has been over the years."All the actresses who have been approached know this is a wonderful opportunity," the show insider added. "They are all seriously considering the job because of course it could lead to other big opportunities in the business. Who in their right mind would turn it down? Now it's up to the producers to decide who's the best choice."Star was a hit with viewers in the show's early days in 1997, says the show insider, but her on and off-air spats with co-host Joy Behar are said to have turned off her bosses.
