Ok, so now I’m over my Jennifer Hudson haze, I’ve compartmentalized my thoughts about the 64TH Annual Golden Globe Awards I have to tell you there were quite a few things that I noticed. Here are my O1LT.com Top 5 questions about the event.

1. Why did Jay-Z look bored?

2. Who in the hell told Cameron Diaz that her “curtain inspired” gown was actually a good idea?

3. Why did Forrest Whitaker make his win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture into one of the most tragic moments on television? At first, it was kinda endearing. But, as time crept by he just continued to stand there trying not to cry. It started to creep me out.

4. Why was that Bitch (and I say it lovingly), Tracey Edmonds jumping up and down hysterically when Eddie Murphy won his award for Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture? The way she reacted you would have thought that she had been with the comedic actor, and rumored homosexual, for years when in fact, it’s only been a few weeks. Am I the only one who sees that money grubbing—opportunist for what she is?

5. Was I the only one who was questioning Beyonce’s tears when Jennifer Hudson won for Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture? To me, that was he best acting yet!

Speaking of the Golden Globes...

Some people just don’t know when to shut the hell up. Right after Grey’s Anatomy surprising win at the Golden Globes. Legendary angry black man, Washington, went on a gay bashing rampage in the press room of the prestigious event. In an interview at Monday's Golden Globes, Washington denied using the offensive term by ... using the offensive term. "No, I did not call T.R. a faggot."

While many within the Hip-Hop, and black community might not find what Isaiah said to be offensive. However, when your at the obviously “gay inspired” award show. To make such a disrespectful comment is career suicide. Not 48 hours after making the idiotic comment, the gays are up in arms and are demanding an apology, some are even demanding Isaiah’s

Here’s the picture of the Raccoon Dog that has been a pain in the ass for Sean “Puffy” Combs, and now, Jay-Z. I don’t see what the big deal is to be honest with you. Though, I’m not for the killing of animals to make coats, I am not turned off or blame others who choose to do so. But for all the animal lovers out there here is a picture of the furry creatures. "DREAMGIRLS" WIN GOLDEN GLOBES TOP HONORS!!

Jaime Foxx so eloquently spoke these words on the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

“DreamGirls portrays a pivotal point in American Musical History. The moment when a group of big dreamers created a new black sound and wrote it into the mainstream culture and it tells the story the way a story should be told—through music. With a brilliant creative ensemble and “Dream” cast, legendary stage production has been transformed into a film that has audiences cheering all across this country.”

Truer words couldn't have been spoken as this remarkable motion picture has unquestionably resonated with fans, capturing their hearts forever. And, at the 64th Annual Golden Globe awards its magic was undeniable as Jennifer; and Eddie took home the top awards of the evening (Best Supporting Actor/Actress), and the entire cast collected award(s) for Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy.

Jennifer Hudson’s Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actress in a feature film proves to be a shoe in for the Academy. History has proven time and time again that usually when an actor or actress wins the prestigious Golden Globe Award that the highly coveted Oscar is on the horizon. During Jennifer's emotional acceptance speech, she sincerely expressed her gratitude by saying: “You don’t know what this does for my confidence as an actor.” Whether an Academy honor happens for Ms. Hudson or not, she now has a Golden Globe to place on her mantle for the rest of her life.

No matter what stern anti-Jennifer Hudson bloggers may say, the former American Idol contestant has arrived. All the hate in the world can’t stop her. So, I would advise all the nay sayer’s to get in accordance with her legions of fans and start congratulating the powerhouse vocalist, and now accomplished actor, on a job well done. Congratulations Jennifer.

Another star from the sensational all black casted film "DreamGirls" also has a reason to celebrate--Mr. Eddie Murphy.

With so many superstar actors like Jack Nicholson, Brad Pitt, Marc Walberg, Ben Affleck and Eddie Murphy nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. The odds of a comedian (Murphy) winning an award for his portrayal as a soul singer desperate to hang on, in the Broadway adaptation—DreamGirls— seemed slim to none.

However, the Hollywood Foreign Press has shown us many times over, that where there’s a will there is most certainly a way as Murphy beat out all the other accomplished dramatic actors for the top coveted award. If you haven’t seen DreamGirls you need to run, not walk, to theaters. Great Job Eddie!

Despite mixed reviews, the new step-show enthused “Stomp The Yard” stepped into theaters at number one over the holiday weekend. The movie, starring Columbus Short, Megan Good, Ne-yo, and Chris Brown, all brought in an impressive 22 million dollars knocking “A Night at the Museum” out of number one position. With such an exciting debut, the urban dollar is proving to have a lot of Clout amongst Hollywood these days. Poor Toni Braxton, she just can’t seem to get her singing career on track since moving to two other record labels within a 6 year period. After a lengthy legal battle with Laface Records that sparked a “sudden change” in recording companies, sultry singing sensation Toni Braxton—had decided that Arista would be the place that she’d call home.

However, In April 2003, Braxton abruptly left Arista Records, having been there for fourteen years, and immediately signed with Blackground Records — headed by Barry Hankerson, her, now former manager. And now, she is suing her former manager and record label claiming that he owes her at least 10 million dollars for dirty dealings that caused her to abandon a long relationship with Arista Records for the managers own record label. Speaking of artists fleeting singing careers…

According to Juicy News, Monica's lastest album, 'The Makings Of Me' has only been out 3 months and it's no longer listed on the Billboard Top 200 Charts.

It has just returned at #198 and lands at #38 on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart. Her supporters are begging J. Records her label to allow her to make one more video off of the CD in hopes that it will add some momentum to the album. MONICA PETITION


Right on the heels of publicly denying that he and Eddie Murphy are in no way shape or form—Lovers,to Sister2Sister magazine. My California source tells me that Johnny Gill and Murphy were in fact together in Las Vegas over the holiday weekend. My source goes on to say:

“The Dreamgirls star was trying to keep his fun on the downlow. Murphy arrived - wearing a hoodie and sunglasses - with Gill at Moon nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Saturday night. They had a couple of bottles of Ketel One and Dom Rose at their table. Barry Bonds joined the pair for a few drinks later in the evening.”

Do friends conceal their identities to have fun together? I don’t know, but it sound fishy to me.

I’m not sure what’s more puzzling, two washed up celebrities dodging the cameras, when they both know they want/need the media frenzy? Or, Whitney Houston wearing a white mink coat after Labor Day!

I don’t report on white media all that often. However, this sh*t was so funny I couldn’t help myself. Brokeback Mountain Star, Jake Gylenhal hosted this weekends Saturday Night Live. And as a “gift” to his gay fans he belted out his unique DreamGirls “And I’m Telling You” rendition in drag. I laughed my ass off when I saw this footage. Check it out. Diana Ross fans, Diana will be performing on Good Morning America today, January 16. Her performance is apart of the very popular ABC “Winter Concert” series. Is it a coincidence that Diana maybe backpacking off the DreamGirls success to fuel her new CD. DreamGirls is rumored to be based on historic girl group the The Supremes. Diana is rumored to be very upset that Hollywood is making millions of dollars off her story. Let’s see if Diane Sawyer addresses these rumors. Check your local listings.

I found Sam Jackson’s movie Black Snake Moan, directed by Craig Brewer. In this new gritty and raw film Jackson plays the character, Lazurus, a God-fearing bluesman who takes to a wild young woman (Ricci) who, as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, looks everywhere for love, never quite finding it.

This movie looks like its going to he amazing. Check it out.
