    DEELISHIS SAYS:"IM NOT PREGNANT"!!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie
I’m sure you all know that I love mediatakeout.com like a son of a bitch. But sometimes they get their facts completely wrong (as we all do) . Their recent salacious story surrounding Flavor of Love winner “DEELISHIS” and her supposed pregnancy has been swirling around the internet.

But I’ve got the word straight from the horse’s mouth, and according to the famed reality star, there is no truth to the preggers rumor. In a statement posted on her myspace page, here’s what she had to say:
    Hey Guys and Gal Pals,

Normally I do not indulge in gossip nor rumor. I try my best to keep a straight face even in the mist of lies and accusation, however I have many friends, fans and even family who have contacted me in concern with the latest rumor...am I pregnant? The answer is NO! Babies are a blessing, but not at this time. I have a beautiful 8 year old daughter who is the light of my life and currently my only child.

I truly appreciate the messages of concern. I also appreciate those individuals who asked me rather than accused me. In the same token, from the looks of the photograph ...advertised by MEDIATAKEOUT.COM, I would have assumed the same thing. The photograph is current, taken just 2 weeks ago in South Carolina at a party with Wendy Williams and Charlemaine.

For future reference, there are times when I will appear a little heavier than normal due to hormonal changes that occur during a womans premenstrual cycle, pregnancy is not always the bottom line.

I love you all...and go get them D-Cuts baby!!!!

    Deelishis

There you have it people! There’s no baby, so are we good? I know I start a lot of gossip sometimes, well not me but us bloggers. But it’s always nice to squash some of them as well.

UNIVERSAL RECORDS IS TRYING TO STOP EVERYONE FROM SEEING THIS!!!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie
So it looks like Universal records is trying to pull a “Big Bully” move by sending out cease and desist notices to everyone who’s posting this now legendary video of Akon getting it on with a 14 year old Trini.

At first when I heard about this I wasn’t too pressed because I couldn’t confirm the girls age. However, after snooping around and doing what I do, I have come to find out that—yes everybody—the girl is 14 years old.

In a statement copied Trinidad & Tabago Express here is the confirmation:

Johnny Soong, owner of the Zen nightclub and one of the promoters of last Thursday’s "Akon in Concert" said yesterday that the club has an age limit of 18 years and over.

Soong, who is out of the country, was contacted for comment on the highly publicized controversial dance by Akon and 14-year-old Deena Alleyne, daughter of pastor Dave Alleyne.

"Patrons have to be 18 years to purchase tickets when we sell tickets for our events," Soong said yesterday. "We do check persons IDs. Obviously she got through the crack. It was advance tickets so it may not have been her who bought her ticket but someone could have bought it for her. There were also scalpers outside the venue selling tickets."

I am posting this video on O1LT.com and it shall remain here. Universal has no control over what I do!

They might want to try and control Akon’s “R.Kellyish ways” and not the media. This is definitely not a good look for Hip-Hop right now. Damn you Akon! Shouout to my special source, you know who you are. I appreciate you!

"THROWBLACK THURSDAY"- WHTINEY HOUSTON "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU"!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie

I really miss old Whitney! I was surfing the web today and I came across this video and it really took me back. Now, I was just a kid when The Bodyguard came out (10 years old). But I just remember her and this song bPublisheing EVERYWHERE! And to see this woman’s talent go down the drain the way that they have is kind of depressing— isn’t it?

If you get time just sit back and close your eyes. Take in the voice sent from heaven and reminisce on where you where when you heard this song. Will we ever have a singer like her again?

    HIP-HOP KEEPS ON SIDE STEPPIN!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie
According to XXL.com Russell has reneged on his promise to hold Hip-Hop accountable. Apparently the so called "private" hip-hop meeting that was supposed to take place, has'nt actually happended just yet.

In a statement Russell said the following:

“We are postponing today’s press availability as our meeting is still in progress. As you know, this is a complex issue that involves gender, race, culture and artistic expression. Everyone assembled today takes this issue very seriously and our dialogue is ongoing. We will reschedule the press availability shortly.”
We might as well not hold our breath on this one. It’s time for the consumers to not support the music, the concerts, and possibly the culture as whole. Corporations don’t understand anything but the all mighty dollar.

CHARLAMAGNE THE GOD WEIGHS IN ON THE CURRENT STATE OF HIP-HOP!!

Charlamagne Tha God, sidekick to Wendy at The Wendy Williams Experience, posted a blog entry on his myspace page regarding Don Imus and the downfall of the Hip-Hop culture.

I got a lot of respect for this dude and with his permission, I proudly post his opinion on what the hell is going with us as a people as it relates to hip-hop.

"The chickens have come home to roost!" This statement was made by Malcolm X after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It is being uttered again, by me, before the death of a culture that we created but corporate America exploited called Hip Hop. Let it be known this culture wasn't always the way it is now, at one point, it stood for something. Brothers and sisters used to rap about things of socially redeeming value. Artist like Chuck D, Brand Nubian and Big Daddy Kane established a sense of black pride and black power within hip hop.

Queen Latifah refused to let you call her a bitch, but now we (me included) have embraced all the negatives of the black culture and tried to turn them into positives and truthfully it can't be done. Nigga means Nigga and you never realize it until you hear another race say it. We must look like total and complete idiots to white people whenever they hear us using it amongst ourselves as a term of empowerment, but when another race calls us that then we are ready to go to war! It's what I call the mirror effect. Far too often, we look in the mirror and see everything that is right with us, but for some reason it's hard for us too look in the mirror and admit what is wrong with us. That is one of the greatest problems of our culture. That is the reason that hip hop is about to be attacked in a fight that we can't win.

Let me explain, this whole Don Imus situation that I'm sure you are aware of may seem like a victory. I see you out there pumping your fist talking about, "Yeah, he called them girls a bunch of nappy headed hoes, fire him!" "He needs to be dismissed!" You all got your wish, he was terminated, but do you understand that this situation just exposed our black leaders, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and made them both look like total hypocrites? The Christian Defense Coalition is already criticizing Al and Jesse about why they are not protesting outside of record labels and radio stations who release and broadcast the same kind, if not worse messages than what Don Imus is under fire for. Do you understand that by Snoop Dogg trying to justify why it's okay for him to call women bitches and hoes but Don Imus can't makes him look like not only a hypocrite but a jackass. He is the one rapper who really shouldn't have anything to say on this matter because he has degraded black women and called them much worse than nappy headed hoes.

Ladies and gentlemen this situation is bigger than Don Imus in fact it's not about him at all, it's about us. If you call what Don Imus said about the Rutgers Ladies Basketball team racist and hateful then that means every time you call your homeboy your nigga or a woman you're dealing with your bitch or you're ho, then you are practicing self hate! Let's be clear I'm not for Don Imus, I'm for equality and if we're going to attack Don Imus, to avoid looking like hypocrites, we have to attack ourselves. Hip Hop is about to be held accountable for all the negative images that we have put out for the past decade. There is going to be a zero tolerance policy when it comes to insensitivity towards race and gender and I agree with it totally because I am personally striving to stop using the word nigga and referring to my women as bitches and whores.

I encourage all rappers who are profiting off the degradation of our culture to clean up their acts because the powers that be have already started to flip this around on us and when the shoe is placed on the other foot I would love to see what our people come up with to defend the negative images hip hop has put out. The powers that be are going to make an example out of some one. Don't be surprised when Snoop, 50 and a lot of these other rappers start losing endorsement deals when a little pressure is applied by the good ol' boys. Don't you think they would sacrifice a Don Imus just to have a reason to really go after hip hop? Don't you think they would say, "Listen Don, we are going to let you go and let them win this battle but we are going to win the war." They have a reason to attack us on all levels now and there isn't a thing we can do to defend ourselves.

How can I explain a song like "Bitches Ain't Shit but Hoe's and Tricks"? What are you going to say, Snoop's a reformed gang member who coaches little league football? Yeah, but he is also facing 4 years on gun and drug charges! 50 Cent has his G Unity foundation and he gives to the charity all the time…so what? He also glorifies the gun and is alleged to have ordered the smacking of a 14 year old boy. This whole Don Imus situation has us looking like one big contradiction it makes us seem like we are the racist because we never go after our own, always after others who say and do to us just as we do to ourselves.

Hip Hop is under fire and when they start calling for record labels and corporations to drop certain artist, for the same reasons they asked MSNBC and CBS to fire Don Imus, how are we going to say their not justified in their actions? The bottom line is we can't respond. The bible says you reap what you sow. All I can do is pray for repentance, change my ways and hope the consequences of my actions are not too much for me and Hip Hop to bear. Hip Hop I want to have your back on this one but I can't.......

    THE HIP-HOP SIDE STEP!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie

After watching Oprah’s Town Hall Meeting today where the Hip-Hop industry came to it’s own defense amidst public opinions that the culture demeans, disrespects, and demoralizes women, gays, and the overall black man. I can’t help but get the sense that Kevin Liles, Russell Simmon, and even Common (which I don’t understand why in the hell he was there in the first place because he doesn’t make the music, or spew the questionable lyrics that we are all discussing) were skirting around the issue.

At first they blatantly refused to accept accountability for the fact that Hip-Hop is getting worse! The culture that we’ve embraced for 30 years isn’t evolving or progressing.

Oprah Winfrey, the queen of daytime television, invites Hip-Hop’s elite on her show, when we all know she isn’t the biggest fan of hip-hop to begin with. And what does hip-hop do—we side step.

The fact of the matter is that these “poets” that Russell and Kyle so vehemently defend isn’t acting with social responsibility. Am I, or many others from the African-American community putting all rappers in that category—no! However if you look at the current billboard charts, then you would see that most of today's music is hip-hop based. And the most popular hip-hop songs have to do with the exploitation of women on some level, no matter how subtle.

This was the opportunity of a lifetime to address Middle American—AKA—white people about what the real issue is. And they spent damn near 20 minutes thanking Oprah for allowing them to come to her show. What the hell was that about?????

And was I the only one who watched Russell Simmons, one of the founding fathers of Hip-Hop, defend offensive lyrics by saying they (rappers) just don’t know any better? I didn't grow up with a mother to teach me that calling a woman a bitch was wrong, but something inside of me knew that it was.

While I understand that Hip-Hop isn't to blame completely for societies issues, and the depiction of African-American woman, it plays a much bigger part than people from within the industry want to admit!

I’m over it!! Hip-Hop, in this instance has disappointed me!

A WOMAN AFTER MY OWN HEART!!!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie

Here is some video I found on youtube.com of Mrs. Wendy being interviewed by Fox's news anchor, Charles Pugh.

I can recount the times that I have proclaimed my love for Mrs. Wendy Williams. In a lot of ways I am molding my career to be just as influential as she has been for the last 10-12 years.

She's unapologetic, uncensored, and at the end of the day she's admittedly a mess (like the rest of us). From her androgynous appearance, to her distinctive delivery, I have and continue to be a huge fan. But I’ve learned how to be a fan from a distance! Oh, and one more thing--How You doin Charles!

HOW DID SHE SNAG CARMELO ANTHONY?

    By L.T. Dinwiddie
Ok, so last nights reunion show on VH1 was interesting to say the least. But out of all the overly testosterone driven dudes, New York getting dumped by Tango, and the surprise visit from former Flavor of Love contestant Pumpkin, why was Lala’s haggard appearance the only thing that I could focus on?

From the hair, to the outfit— even the shoes, she looked a complete mess!!

Broken hearts will mend. Dudes will always fight over girls and get over it. But thanks to youtube Lala’s bad weave will be around forever!!

Somebody please make a call Celebrity stylist June Ambrose because the girl needs some serious help!

BARACK OBAMA DELIVERS "GOOSEBUMPS" IN ATLANTA THIS PAST WEEKEND!!

    By L.T. Dinwiddie

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to become apart of history in the making and watch Senator, and Presidential candidate—Barack Obama—delivered a truly moving speech at GA Tech University.

The man’s charisma is undeniable as he talked to a crowd of twenty thousand supporters about voter registration, the South Carolina primary, and his political agenda for the White House in 2008. Former mayor, Maynard H.Jackson’s daughter, Alexander Jackson, kicked off the political rally with the National Anthem. And, Civil rights activist, Reverend Joseph Lowery, delivered an inspirational prayer before Obama took to the stage.

While I understand that O1LT.com is usually known for its salacious entertainment news, I felt that this rally was more important if not the most important issue of the year. Bush needs to go PERIOD. And though it’s obvious that Barack has a gigantic hill to climb, I will do my best to be right under him, pushing him every step of the way.

I encourage all of you to get involved. You can log into BARACK OBAMA'S WEBSITE to find out more. But in the words of my good friend DJ Ammij, it’s time to “Barack The Nation!”
