she will be around for a while, she can sing gospel, r&b, broadway, name it she is the real deal, go fantasia
TO BE HONEST I DONT SEE HER DOING WELL AS A HIP HOP ARTIST..DONT GET ME WRONG I WATCHED AND LOVED WHEN SHE WON AMERICAN IDOL.BUT HER VOICE IS TO SOULFUL FOR TODAYS MUSIC..ITS NOT LIKE MARY OR KEISHA COLE..IF YOU PUT A HOT BEAT TO IT IT WILL STILL SOUND ARETHA BACK IN THE DAY..I WILL SAY THAT I DO SEE HER DOING WELL ON BROADWAY OR DOIN A GOSPEL ALBUM...MAYBE EVEN A SOFTER BALLET BUT NOT SO MUCH HIP HOP...
Fantasia is in a whole other league han Keyshia Cole and Mary J. She sings!! KC and MJ are not even on her level. Yes she does have a soulful sound, that is what makes her different. She isn't hip-hop, it is more like soulful R & B! I would love to here a gospel album from her. She has already captured broadway, so doing well is an understatement!
Thanks for posting this. The torch has been passed and if she makes money off of not being a COMMERCIAL/POP singer then I give her KUDOS & where does HIP HOP come in to play with a vocalist. Please research what hip hop is.
