OK, so Essence.com interviewed Solange Knowles recently. They talked about her faux marriage, her son, and the ~~drawbacks to riding on her big sister's coat strings~~. Check out what she had to say.

ESSENCE.com: What are some of the drawbacks of being in this industry?

S.K.: The lack of privacy is first and foremost. You just have to know that the more successful you get as an artist, the less of a normal life you have. It’s a trade-off. When I say I only want to reach a certain level (professionally), people look at me like I’m full of sh--. But when you get to a certain point, you can’t just go to the mall anymore, and I don’t know if I’m willing to ever give that up.

Solange, sweetie, I say this with all the love in my big pinky toe. You wont ever have to worry about that boo!

AIDA MIGHT LAND BEYONCE IN THE THEATER DOG HOUSE!!!

Although I wish Beyonce would take a break seriously, I am kind of interested in all this talk about her possibly starring in the new movie of Aida.

While many B fans are pumping their fists in excitement over the announcement. Many theater fans aren’t too thrilled—or at least according to the New York Magazine.

In it, this is what they are saying about the powerhouse:

As always, the theater-crazed online community has plenty to say. There's a camp lobbying for the original Broadway cast to reprise their roles, but as any theater junkie knows, Disney will be looking for a big-name cast to light up the marquee. KELLY'S PROJECT IS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE!!!

I love Kelly Rowland as if she were my own bastard sibling. But her new album is going to flop BIG time! A very well connected source informed me that AOL Sessions reached out to Kelly for her to perform but that she hasn’t reached out back because apparently there is no money in her budget for her to pay for rehearsals.

With Beyonce’s re-release, re-pull, and then her re-release again there’s apparently not much money left to push both projects. I don’t know how true this is but one has to wonder why Kelly hasn’t stepped up to the Mic to starting promoting her project. Sure she’s done magazine interviews, and radio programs, but don’t singers have to, oh I don’t know, SING!

Kelly is going to have to just give up on any hopes of a becoming a successful solo artist. As long as B is around she will unfortunately always be just second best.

I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. When word broke last month that British singer, Des'ree', had filed suit for copyright infringement over an unauthorized song that B put on her re-release. I had heard from reliable sources that the powerhouse was shaking in her stilettos.

And now she and her record label are snatching her re-release special edition of “B-day” from the shelves including, yes people, all the videos that she shot for each of the songs.
