I just didn’t think it was possible. When word broke out that New York was going to have her own spin-off show, I thought the idea was absolutely ludicrous. Firstly, guys don’t sweat females the same way they sweat us (Let's be real ladies). Secondly, guys, at least the ones I know, don’t fight for cat traps. But, I’ll be dammed if VH1 didn’t prove me wrong in a big way. Hell, maybe even the biggest way possible. For the two time reject— ghetto diva New York— has actually accumulated some men to desire her. Who knew?
VH1’s new reality show I Love New York is destined to be hit. This high-octane show is chuck full of buffoonery, a slight homo-eroticism (no judgment), and all the off the wall shenanigans that only desperate 15 minute’s of fame seekers can supply. While I was watching the premiere episode last night I found myself completely mesmerized. It wasn’t the mansion, the slightly gay contestants, or even the “out and proud” gay sidekick. What drew me was New York’s mother and her incredibly HUGE forehead. It seemed to go up and up and up. It went on for miles. Tyra Banks aint got nothing on New York’s mom.
I know where I will be every Monday at 9pm. Thank god for TIVO because VH1 put this sensational new reality program up against NBC’s Hero’s. I love me some New York but I’ll be dammed if I miss Hero’s for her.
I posted my column over at Sohh.com today. You should check it out. I critiqued Yung Joc’s new Video. SOHH ATLANTA
Ok so who are we to believe? According to an email I received the other night, from one of my fellow readers, Tyrese apparently did not strike his girlfriend as first previously reported.
In the email (attached below) the future baby’s mother’s attorney got is categorically denying that Tyrese had any physical contact with said woman.
Reports that Tyrese punched my client - his girlfriend - in the arm, thigh or anywhere else are false. It is true, Mr. Gibson and his girlfriend had been arguing. She became very emotional and distressed during the argument and called 911 in an attempt to get a mediator. Mr. Gibson, frustrated, left the home. My client, Mr. Gibson's girlfriend, who is 11 weeks pregnant, then became more upset and began throwing up. When the paramedics arrived, concerned about the baby, they took her to the hospital. Fortunately, she was fine. Once at the hospital, she was asked by a nurse whether she had been assaulted. She said no. She was then asked what her pain level was on a scale of zero to ten. She said zero. She then discharged herself.
Mr. Gibson and his girlfriend are very much still in love, together and excited about their expectant child. She is quite saddened that this event was so distorted. Who are we to believe? I don’t know and frankly at this point I don’t care. That’s the thing with entertainment news. It’s hear today, and gone today. But, I will say in the words of one of my media idols, Mrs. Wendy Williams, Tyrese – How You Doing!

Ok, its time for another intervention. We all sat back and watched Whitney Houston spiral out of control and though we evidently failed in trying to save Whitney before she lost her “star” status. It’s not too late for someone to step in and help Lil Kim. Every since Kim’s prison release back in July, (or was it June), she’s been looking a hot mess.
Kimberly gained a lot of weight behind bars but despite that fact, she really needs to get a stylist who can push her back in the spotlight. Many people may not no this but Lil Kim has a strong chance at coming back and reclaiming her thrown as the “Queen Bitch”. Since her jailhouse stint, no other female rapper used her jail time wisely. Foxxy didn’t come out with nothing. Da Brat was too busy focusing on “The Surreal Life”. Trina, please, she never had a chance. And since no other female-lyricist has shown initiative to become number one. I say, bring back the Queen. But first, we need an intervention.
According to Mary Bowlin (J&M Entertainment/Gillie The Kid's Publicist), Lil' Wayne's jaw was broken at a tour stop this past weekend. The story goes Cash Money's own Lil Wayne became involved in a heated argument with a fellow entourage member, it all ended with the argument coming to blows and Lil Wayne receiving a broken jaw in the mêlée. Lil' Wayne and Gillie The Kid have been involved in a war of words for the past several months and Wayne recently caused a stir with comments made about Jay-Z in a recent issue of Complex magazine.

Do straight men wear Pink, HONESTLY!?!
Consumers will finally get the chance to own an iPhone, a mobile phone that plays iTunes and surfs the Web, electronics maker Apple said Tuesday. The device will retail for between $499 and $599.
Company chairman Steve Jobs, speaking at the company's annual Macworld expo, called the iPhone, which will be available in June, a "revolutionary mobile phone" that will feature an iPod, phone and what he called an "Internet communicator.
The phone is rectangular, and the entire front surface is a touch screen. All of its functions are activated by touch, but when you bring your iPhone to your face, a proximity sensor will turn off the touchscreen so you don't accidentally face dial.
The phone, which runs the Mac OS X, will come in two models -- a $499 version with 4 gigabytes of memory and a $599 one with 8 gigabytes. FULL STORY
And now for a “who cares” story...
Hoops superstar Jason Kidd's troubled marriage to his former Budweiser-model wife has hit the skids again, sources told The Post yesterday.
Joumana Kidd, 34, has been furious over the New Jersey Net great's frequent nights out in New York City, the sources said. "It's a mess, and it's been going on for a while," one source close to the All-Star point guard said of the pair's latest marital discord.
The hoopster plans to counter his wife's claims with a domestic-violence complaint and restraining order against her, the source said. It was unclear what the complaint involved.FULL STORY
