O1LT.COM "HOT AND BLACK" REPORT-BEYONCE/EDDIE MURPHY/MS. DYNAMITE/JAY-Z/WEEKLYALBUM SALES!!!!
By L.T. Dinwiddie
Yesterday I broke word that Beyoncé and Eva Langoria were in talks to play lesbians in an adaptation of Sarah Waters's love story Tipping the Velvet. But Eva tells People magazine to "Stop the madness". Though she is a huge fan of Beyonce there is no truth the rumor.
That’s too bad. I really wanted to see Beyoncé stretch her acting muscle and play something completely opposite from her diva persona. Unfortunately I along with many others can’t take her seriously as an actor just yet because all her roles have been these glamazonian—one dimensional characters. Though I haven’t seen DreamGirls just yet I haven’t heard anything positive about her performance. Oh well sorry fellas (and some women) looks like we will have to settle for our imaginations. If you’re a fan of WWE then you have to know about Orlando Jordan. He was the only wrestler that I can recall that has come out of the closet—yes ladies and gentleman Orland is gay--he’s a homo and he likes guys. Orlando talked to political gay blogger, Keith Boykin recently in a candid interview. He held nothing back and shed some interesting light on the wrestling business. All this goes to show you people is now-a-days you just never know. Great job Keith! FULL STORY
Has Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown scared off her beau, Eddie Murphy? The former Spice Girl announced she was pregnant with his child last month, but Murphy just took another woman out on a date. On Saturday, he took Tracey Edmonds - Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds' ex-wife - to dinner at the Lodge restaurant on La Cienega in L.A. The two had steaks and chatted into the night at the dimly lit eatery while Ananda Lewis and her beau, Clippers star Sam Cassell, sat nearby. Murphy's rep declined to comment. FULL STORY

I have a confession my name is LT and I am a “Dancing with the Stars” fan. As corny as it sounds, and though I risk losing my ghetto pass, I think the show this season is really good. I never paid attention to it before because—you know I’m not 60 but, I found myself tuning in to watch Emmet Smith do his thing and now I am hooked. As I am typing this to you Mario Lopez is tearing up the dance floor. I feel so lame admitting this to you all but; hey it is what it is right?!?
Ms. Dynamite was recovering from a 100-mph crash that occurred during filming of "The Race," a car-racing reality show on Britain's Sky One TV network.
Brian Johnson, lead singer of rock band AC/DC, struck the back of the British rapper's Formula Ford car at Silverstone racetrack in central England on Sunday. FULL STORY
Lawd have mercy Method Man is upset again. We all remember Method’s tirade earlier this year towards Wendy Williams. And now it looks like he is redirecting his energy towards BET. I warn you now this video has a lot of cussing in it. I personally feel if Method man would just focus on his business and stop trying to sell records by coming off as a lil b*tch he might be better off—Just a suggestion!
A few months ago I told you all about a new rapper/poet by the name of NYOIL. He has been creating a steady buzz for himself by taking a stance against defamation, ignorance, and hate. Homeboy speaks his mind and gives to you real and from the heart. His words will no doubt resonate within you and challenge to you think and hopefully change. Shout out to rhymes for putting me on to NYOIL’s new video.
I've become so disappointed in Jay-Z lately. He continues to distance himself from the “Jay” that we all came to love. He used to be the truth and the essence of what hip-hop stood for but, now he is just one big ass fraud. From sipping champagne with lead the singer of Cold Play—Chris Martin, and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow, to now being photographed on GQ magazine—I just think its lame.
This past weekend while Jay-Z was in Atlanta for the Hip Hop Music Awards, he didn’t do any press. He didn’t walk the red carpet (at least from what I could see) and even after winning an award he omitted coming back to the media tent to answer questions from the press and take picture(s) with his award—furthering my suspicion that he knows people are not feeling him anymore.
Though his newest lyrical venture Kingdom Come has already leaked on the internet I’m sure he will still sell millions because white people, particularly young white kids love him. But it’s abundantly clear that hip-hop as a culture is no longer embracing Hova. One line on Jay-Z’s song “Show Me What You Got”, he says “I am the Michael Jordan of Recording…” well if that’s true don’t we all remember how sad it was to see Jordan retire then return a lot slower and no longer legendary. You should have left on top of your game Jay-Z never to return.
I am not alone in my opinion(S)
