Clay Cane is talking about Oprah Winfrey. Usually I have a rule to not post anything disparaging about Oprah but this really isn’t a bad thing. It gives some insight as to why Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t apart of Oprah’s Legends Ball…..

BUT supposedly the reason why Whoopi Goldberg wasn't invited to Oprah's Legends Ball (as an attendee not a legend) was because of beef they had in the late 80s when Quincy Jones produced the Academy Awards -- no details on what happened. The one time Whoopi was questioned about it she said in classic Whoopi form: "Don't get me started on Miss Oprah, chile." Seems like if you are not Oprah's friend, or fan, you were NOT going to be at the Legends Ball .... i.e., ETTA JAMES. Whoopi is one of three black women to win an Oscar and the only black woman to have two Oscar nominations. In addition, she is the only black woman to host the Oscars."

I have to admit that "Runs House" is my thursday night guilty pleasure. There is something about his simple wife, and wholesome kids that draws me in. Since his decision to stop touring, the Reverend has reportedly been living off of the money from his MTV reality show Run's House and his savings. But a person familiar with the Reverend's MTV deal told MediaTakeOut.com, "the money Run's making from MTV definitely isn't enough for a celebrity to live on." Khia was on “The Wendy Williams Experience” yesterday and she says there is absolutely NO TRUTH to the rumors that she had beef with Janet Jackson or Jermaine Dupri. As you know it was reported that Khia was calling for a boycott of Janet’s new album “Twenty Years Old” because she was supposedly cut from the second single "So Excited". There was a lot of back and fourth which resulted in Jermaine releasing a public statement in an attempt to not let this over shadow Ms. Jackson’s “Call On Me” Single. All I want to know is if their wasn’t any truth to the beef, then why would Jermaine release a public statement? In related news Khia’s new album "KHIA:GANGSTRESS" will be in stores tomorrow July 11, 2006

Apparently, Houston is no New Orleans when it comes to handling traffic for the annual Essence Music Festival.
