O1LT.COM "HOT AND BLACK" QUICK NEWS RECAP!!!!
Looks Pirates was the only thing on everyone’s mind this weekend, as "Pirates of the Caribbean-Dead Man’s Chest" debuts at number 1 selling over 132 million dollars worth of tickets making it the highest grossing three day opening ever. It has shattered Spiderman 2 record which took in 114.8 million its opening weekend. I have always loved Johnny Depp. I know this story is a little out of place on my site, but hell I can break the rules sometimes. Johnny can be “Hot and Black” for a moment right? In related news "Waist Deep" is still holding strong selling 1.9 million to remain in the top 10 TOTAL BOX OFFICE SALES HERE
My man Keith Boykin is reporting that British concert promoters abruptly pulled the plug this week on performances by two well-known Jamaican dancehall recording artists, Buju Banton and Beenie Man. The two men were essentially banned in parts of Britain this week when their scheduled concerts in Brighton and Bournemouth were canceled after complaints from gay rights groups. The two performers have recorded songs widely believed to be homophobic, but last year they seemed to agree to organizers' demands that they stop using and justifying their gay bashing songs.FULL STORY HERE
It’s all about who you know not what you know. The NY Post is reporting that U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, a musician in his own right, helped secure the release of Atlanta R&B producer Dallas Austin from a Dubai jail after a drug conviction, the senator's office confirmed Saturday. It has been speculated that Naomi Campbell pulled some strings to get him pardoned, but alas she had nothing to do with it. I bet this whole situation has taught Dallas to keep his drug habit domestic. I live in here in Atlanta, and I have say no one has really been talking about Dallas since his return home.FULL STORY HERE

Oh lawd it looks like I might have to tell Justin Timberlake to “sit the hell down somewhere” like I tell other artists who say or do something stupid. In published reports Justin says: "I realize that I have a platform to push the sound of pop music. That's the only responsibility that I put on myself in recording the album." "If I'm not going to push it, then who’s going to push it?" First off let me say that I love J.T. His last album was very well produced and I still listen to “Like I love you” everyday on my Ipod while working out. But I wouldn’t go as far to say that I agree with him about it being his responsibility to push the boundaries of pop music. Robin Thicke has pushed pop music's boundaries with his last album “Cherry Blue Skie”, and he is still doing it with his latest album which is due in stores soon. Though he is virtually an unknown he has been doing it. It is an artist’s responsibility to make good music. If you happen to push the boundaries in the process then hey that’s a bonus.FULL STORY HERE. Oh and by the way, I got an exclusive sneak peak at J.T. acting debut in a big budget film working along side Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, and that damn L.L. Cool J called "Edison Force". How a movie can be made with such great actors, yet have no plot is beyond me but I wouldnt waste your money. EDISON FORCE
Hip-Hop is dominating the Billboard Charts. Though I personally feel that the south is killing hip-hop (Yea I said It). It doesn’t look like hip-hop music is going anywhere anytime soon. My boi over at UndagroundAtl has posted the billboard chart figures, and Hip-Hop is still taking over.UNDAGROUNDATL
Looks like Gille The Kid is trying to start something over at Cash Money. On Friday he went on "The Wendy Williams Experience", and start running off at the mouth. When asked about if he ever witnessed any homosexual activity at Cash Money, he responded with, But of course, how you gonna kiss a ni**a in the mouth? I don’t even kiss my own son in the mouthReal ni**as kiss each other on the cheek, that’s what you see people in the Mob do. I know you’re probably wondering who the hell Gille Da Kid is right? Well he's an up and coming rapper who was apparently signed to Cash Money or something like that. The only reason why people are talking about him is because he is alleging that he was the ghost writer for a lot of Lil Wayne’s songs.(Story Developing...)
