Bow Wow cleaned up his act for a stint as "Principal for a Day."

Though the young rapper dropped a couple n-bombs during his performance at the Jingle Ball concert last week, the word was nowhere to be heard during a concert at Schurr High School in Montebello, CA on Thursday.

Bow Wow performed at the school after the students won a Power 106 radio station contest. The rapper scored a few extra-credit points after he pulled one lucky cheerleader from the crowd and serenaded her on stage. FULL STORY

The new issue of Vibe is out. I'm not sure if you've seen this or not but hell I figured I'd post it. You know, The Game looks almost evil accept for that damn butterfly tatto on the side of his face that he tried to cover up with an "LA" tattoo. C'mon game "spread your wings and prepare to fly?" Not hood and certainly not a good a look!!

Finally the Super Bowl is starting allow their halftime show to get a little interesting again. Every since Janet exposed her nipple for the whole world to see the famed halftime show has been as boring as watching Monica Arnold act in a movie. But, finally they’ve come to their senses.

*Nas and his baby's mother Carmen Bryan have aired out their dirty laundry over the radio airwaves of Chicago.

The rapper, who is promoting his upcoming Def Jam album "Hip Hop Is Dead," visited the "Trey the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off" show on Chicago's Power 92 and was asked about various allegations Bryan has made in her new tell-all book, "It's No Secret."

Co-host Kendra G. asked Nas if it was true that he once punched Carmen in the face with a closed fist. According to Kendra, Nas quickly said that he wasn't going to defend himself against the book "because this is the type of person who is after only God knows what," Kendra recounted. Mary J. Blige has emerged as the most victorious female singing sensation of the year. She received 9 Billboard Music Awards and also received a bevy of Grammy nominations for her highly successful and highest debuting album to date – The Breakthrough. And now she is gearing up for her latest CD – Reflections, which hits stores on December 12th, with a new video “We Ride (I see the future)”.

Mary’s image is like fine wine. It only gets better as she gets older. Who would have thought that the ole Mary of the early 90’s would have developed into such a glamazonian pop icon? She has shown us all to take her exactly how she is, or have nothing at all.

Though I’m sure many of you will be happy with the top tier black images that will be in next months Vanity Fair. I personally don’t see the appearance of Beyonce Knowles, Eddie Murphy, and Jaime Foxx on the cover as anything special. Firstly, one has to ask "Where the hell is Jennifer Hudson"? While I can understand that this entire movie has been billed as Beyonce, Jaime and Eddie's movie. Wasn't Jennifer just as much apart of this project as anyone else? Didn't American Idol also pull in 30 million viwers weekly while she was on the show? And also isn't Jennifer (Not Beyonce) recieving all of the critical acclaim? Though I immediately noticed Jennifer's obscure absense, I had another, far more bigger problem with the latest iconic magazines issue.

Many of us within the writing industry know that as far as publications are concerned January is the one monthly edition that nobody cares about. Advertisers aren’t as eager to invest in space for magazines during this month. And from an operational standpoint it’s the beginning of the New Year where most publications are strategically planning new marketing ideas and layouts for the next month.

I’m not discounting the DreamGirls semi-cast for gracing the front cover. However, I do feel that this should have been in their December issue seeing that DreamGirls is a December movie and most of the promotion, if not all, started back in November. Oh well I digress.

Another actor has been apprehended while R.Kelly has yet to start his child molestation trial. I just don’t know what is going on with our society.

Wesley Snipes was released on $1 million bond after pleading not guilty to federal charges including falsely claiming millions of dollars in tax refunds, two months after he was indicted in central Florida.
The actor, known for films such as the "Blade" trilogy, didn't speak at a court appearance in Ocala on Friday. He went there after arriving in Orlando on a private jet from the African nation of Namibia, where he was filming "Gallow Walker," his publicist said. FULL STORY

The story is terrible yet I don’t know who he is so I can’t offer much of an opinion. I wanted you all to know that I’m not too biased so I’m posting the story for you all to read up on if you care. OK I haven’t talked about Beyonce and Jay-Z for almost three days. I’ve been talking about them for so long that I thought I’d give it a rest for a little while. Still, I have to give you Beyonce’s publicist response to the swirling marriage rumors.

A spokesman for the R&B songstress on Thursday denied reports surfacing in gossip columns and the Internet this week that she and her rap star-turned-music executive boyfriend planned to quietly tie the knot this coming weekend. A spokeswoman for Jay-Z told Reuters she had no knowledge of impending nuptials for the couple.

Since Sean Combs can’t seem to sell records anymore he is now becoming very protective of his lucrative clothing line – Sean John. In attempt to end bootlegging of his hip-hop inspired fashion empire Puffy has staged a war against bootleggers with a new campaign “Don’t Buy a Lie”.

Shout out to Fantasia Barrino for her performance on the Today show last week. I really like her. I know that in our overly glamorized society a lot of people discount Fantasia but that girl can sang. Her uniquely rhythmic infused vocal ability is extremely refreshing among today’s overly produced, overly vocalized, mediocre artists that we have all come to somehow accept as actual talent. I am eagerly looking forward to listening to her album once it hits stores on Tuesday, December 12, 2006.
