Shout out to Bad Boy recording artist Cassie. Her debut album came out yesterday on the heels of her first single hitting number 1 on Billboards Rhythmic Airplay chart. And it all started with a myspace page. If you didnt know the history Cassie's song "Me & U" was indepdently produced amd put on her myspace page. She became an online sensation, quickly drawing over 2 million visitors and sparking a label bidding war. To date, her site has seen nearly 8 million visitors, and Cassie is the first artist to break out on such a large scale after being discovered by fans on MySpace. He was arrested and eventually acquitted of all criminal charges and now is ready to put that behind him, well not really because there still is 55 million dollar defmation suite that is pending. "I'm trying to go mainstream. I don't have to be rough, rugged and raw," Star told the Daily News yesterday. "I'm trying to get on TV. I'm trying to do what Don Imus does."
