Halle Berry yesterday accused Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles of being RACIST.The Hollywood actress took offence when Moyles did an impression of a black American during a strained interview on his show. Chris was pretending to be James Bond’s double when the spat erupted. He put on an American accent and told Halle and her X-Men co-star Hugh Jackman: “Put your hands up in the air.”Hugh asked: “Are you a some kind of Brooklyn Bond?”Moyles replied: “I’m a black American guy. A big fat black guy.“Put your hands up — I don’t wanna be shooting yo ass.”But Halle, 39, sniped: “Are we having a racist moment here?”Moyles, 32, said: “No, no. Not at all. I just can’t do American accents.”

When she told him it stood for Black American Princesses, he replied: “It means something else over here.”After she left his studio, Moyles branded her “ratty”. Last night Radio 1 said: “There was nothing racist in what Chris said and he made that clear on air.”
